Sniffing Snowdrops at Stowe Gardens

On a freezing cold February day we visited Stowe in Buckinghamshire to see the first signs of spring…snowdrops.

Stowe Gardens with Midlands Mum

Stowe is a National Trust property and also landscaped by Capability Brown, so great sweeping landscapes with serpentine rives, lakes and monuments.

There are several paths to take around the huge gardens and it is suitable for pushchairs. We got a map from the visitor centre and headed down over the bridge to search out the snowdrops. There were plenty of them and they were lovely to see.

The kids cold cold and we warmed up with a hot chocolate from the cafe. This would be a lovely place to visit in the summer or any time of year. But it is open to the elements so if it’s a cold winter’s day then wrap up!
